Kalwakurthy Congress MLA candidate Vamshi Chand Reddy reacted to the attacks on him from the hospital and named BJP supporters as the culprits. He said, that while he was in his car, the attackers pelted stones on him and he got hurt, after some of the stones hit. Because of the injuries he said he got admitted in the hospital. It is with the fear of failure BJP and TRS came together and planned this attack.

He added that Jangareddypally is a sensitive area and he requested the police to take appropriate security measures but this incident. He said that it was a clear case of security lapse. Vamsi Chand Reddy further said if he planned this attack for sympathy as is being alleged, then why did BJP supporters attack him, he questioned.

Responding to the attack TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy said "Congress party candidate Vamshi Chand Reddy has been attacked by the goons of BJP and he is recovering. We are going to win across the state."

Congress leader Madhu Yashki alleged Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders are behind the attack on him. He claimed this attack as a murder attempt talking to the media. He said people are not going to believe TRS anymore. TRS is indulging in such attacks because of the fear of losing.
