Hyderabad: Caretaker irrigation minister, T. Harish Rao, accused the TDP, Congress and other parties in the Mahakutami of plotting and scheming in a big way. Addressing the media at Telangana here on Monday, he said that it was unfortunate that such conspiracies had taken precedence over election issues and governance.

Harish Rao said that the choice between people was clear. One side there were people who fought for a separate state of Telangana (TRS) and ranged against them was the Mahakutami, which consisted of forces which had blocked the development of Telangana.

It was up to the people of the state to make an informed choice, he said.
Harish Rao observed that if the people of the state were not vigilant, the state would find itself in a serious problem. He also said there was a much deeper plot than seeking power on the part of Mahakutami.

He questioned--"who should contest elections in Telangana and who should campaign?" Harish Rao implied that the involvement of AP chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, had deeper ramifications and hence, the people of Telangana needed to be cautious.
