Telangana Elections 2018: KCR Speech Highlights

Reacting to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's recent comments on the irrigation projects in Telangana, caretaker Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Chief K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) said he was reading out a script written by someone else and that he was speaking like a joker. "Everyone knows the Congress's history of taking commissions. The Gandhi family usurped millions of rupees in the National Herald scandal. We will not spare if a single word is being said against the TRS party, which poured blood, shed and tears in the Telangana agitation," he said.

Addressing the public in a spree of public meetings, the Praja Ashirvada Sabha, in Yellandu, Mulugu, Manuguru, Manthani and Peddapalli, KCR was vocal against the Congress leaders and the party's governance in the past. "The Congress leaders, who are slaves to their Delhi bosses, are known for their unethical politics. We will irrigate every inch of land in Telangana with waters from river Godavari. The TRS government redesigned the irrigation projects to suit the State's requirement," he added.

The Congress and the TDP, which have ruled the State for 58 years, have completely destroyed the livelihoods of the downtrodden in the State, said the TRS supremo. Now, both the parties have floated an alliance and seeking votes.

The country is suffering from rampant corruption while both the Congress and the TDP have proven to be corrupt in the past.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken utter lies in the Nizamabad meeting. A person who runs the country cannot afford to speak in such a manner. I have responded to his statements immediately. I had even challenged him for a discussion, but he had left Telangana, said KCR.

They (national leaders) think the national parties can get away by saying as per to their whims and fancies. Even though the Telangana leaders were in power at the Centre in the past, they could not solve the issue of the Podu lands, KCR said.

"I am a stubborn person. If I take up an issue, I will make it happen. All issues relating to Podu lands in Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and other districts, will be resolved in six months after coming to power. A federal front, as an alternative to the Congress and BJP will be floated. We shall control the power in Delhi by winning 17 MP seats in Telangana.

Telangana stands No.1 in generating resources, average income, supply and usage of electricity.

To improve the administration, 3,500 tribal hamlets will be made into Panchayats. We have made self-governance possible for tribal hamlets, said KCR.

In the upcoming days, Mulugu will be made a district. The places with more tribal population will be declared into districts. We are in contemplation with the Chhattisgarh government on the formation of districts.

KCR expressed his confidence on forming the government on 12 December and said that on 24 January, Mugulu will be declared a district.

Mallampalli will also be made into a district. Singareni has more history than coal India and with the use of it, a steel factory will also be established in Bayyaram.

A new mine will be set up in Yellandu and a mining universtiy in Kothagudem will be inaugurated, he said.

There is no doubt that the fight is between Prajakutami and TRS. TRS has worked very hard for the State formation. With the blessings of the people, TRS came to power and has completed four years.

"Now, it is for you to decide. Compare the supply of power in Congress and TDP regimes. For eradicating poverty in the State, we have launched welfare schemes--Kalyana Lakshmi, pensions, good quality of rice, KCR kit, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema."
