KCR Goes Ga Ga Over TRS Rule In Siddipet Election Campaign

Siddipet: The Telangana election campaign barbs traded by the parties are on the rise, with the poll date fast approaching. Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who was on a campaign in Siddipet spoke about the schemes provided the TRS to the people of Siddipet and said that a 24-hour electricity supply would be given free of cost to the farmers. But if they voted for the Congress, the State would definitely go blind, he stated. We are working without corruption and the farmers of the state are our key focus, he added.

What Siddipet gets if TRS is voted to power:

He spoke about a lofty plan to bring one crore acres under irrigation within one year. And to that effect he said that the United Nations Organization (UNO) had recognised the Rythu Bandhu scheme and sought more information about the scheme and its benefits.

  • Chandrasekar Rao claimed that Telangana ranked number one in all the sectors and in the next two years a separate train line for Siddipet will be operational.
  • He also promised to set up a Medical College in Siddipet district.
  • Farmers would be given 24-hour electricity free of cost.
  • Food processing units will be set up in each constituency and these units would be run by women and any issues would be taken care by women's groups.
  • Farmers would get Passbooks directly at home given by the officers.
  • For one acre of land, farmers would receive Rs 10,000 from next year.
  • For self-sustenance, the crops cultivated would be bought through women's unions in villages.
  • The people of Siddipet will get only good quality goods through ration shops .
  • A new scheme for the farmers has been formulated with regard to the cost of crop purchase and the Government will implement it in the forthcoming period, he added, while ending the session at the rally.

T Harish Rao and S Ramalinga Reddy also participated in the mammoth rally where Chandrashekar Rao said that the people will give them one lakh-vote majority each.

The Telangana Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on December 7 and the counting of votes will take place on December 11.
