Hyderabad: The Telangana Inti Party, which walked out of the Mahakutami, alleging conflict with Congress over seat-sharing as the reason, is now all set to campaign for the Mahakutami allies in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Telangana Inti Party founder-president Cheruku Sudhakar said, “We are not against the Mahakutami. I have been admitted in hospital. Soon after I am discharged, I’m ready to campaign for the Mahakutami. We are wishing that the Congress which provided statehood to Telangana should form government in the state.” talking to the media on Monday.

He added, the Congress’s decision to field prominent BC leader R. Krishnaiah from the Miryalaguda constituency had “made us happy. It would be nice if the same initiative was taken regarding our party too.”

After quitting Mahakutami, stating disappointment over seat adjustment proposed by the Congress the Telangana Inti Party had even announced candidates for 28 constituencies. In particular, the Inti Party was disappointed that it had been denied the Nakrekal (SC) seat in adjustments. Before the release of the first list, it was being said that Nakrekal would be the lone seat given to Inti party. However, the Komatireddy brothers are learnt to have put their foot down to ensure that their follower Chirumarthi Lingaiah got the Congress ticket to contest from Nakrekal. They fancy he would be a clear winner against the 2014 winner from TRS, Vemula Veeresham. This is also the common perception among analysts about Nakrekal and it is hence that the Inti Party feels let down.
