Hyderabad: AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that the fight in many constituencies in upcoming Telangana elections was between the RSS and MIM. He was speaking with specific reference to the Rajendranagar Assembly constituency, where he was addressing an election meeting at Imadnagar-Suleiman Nagar on Thursday night.

Describing it as a fight between communal forces and secular forces, the fire-brand MIM leader said that his party would take on the RSS-backed BJP. Owaisi said that things have reached such a state that members of the BJP at the Centre have begun to attack Constitutional bodies like the Supreme Court.

The Hyderabad MP characterized the contest in the upcoming elections in Rajendranagar constituency as a fight between him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that anyone who stood in the way of the victory of the MIM candidate was actually helping the BJP's cause. Owaisi said that the MIM candidate here alone had the mettle to defeat the BJP candidate.

Others who spoke on the occasion included the MIM candidate from Rajendranagar Assembly seat Mirza Rahmath Baig and former MLA in the recently dissolved House, Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri.
