With Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reportedly showing heightened interest in the impending elections in Telangana, the poll scenario has taken a yellow tint. In its exclusive report this morning, Sakshi daily mentioned that the entire state of Telangana was flooded with 'yellow currency', the colour of Telugu Desam. The report added that Chandrababu is hell bent on driving the grand alliance to power and is ready to spend as much as Rs 500 crores. Further, he is reported to have told Congress president Rahul Gandhi that he was going to incur the election expenduture of 10 TRS candidates who are said to be close to him.

The report further said that Chandrababu is learned to have assured Rahul Gandhi of getting those TRS candidates to cross over if the post election scenario so warrants it and should the grand alliance fall short of numbers. It was further stated that in case the grand alliance comes to power, the TDP should be given the home ministry as per Chandrababu's insistence.

Sources close to the Congress are reported to have admitted that this was the principal reason why the AP CM was keen on forming the grand alliance in Telangana. His underlying intention is clearly to wriggle out of the note for vote case, it is being said.
