Vemulawada: Telangana caretaker minister for IT K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) today lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah for his comments in yesterday's public meeting 'Samara Bheri' in Karimnagar. Speaking to media here today, he said that it was an 'Asamartha Bheri' and not Samara Bheri. He demanded to know why the BJP did not take a decision on the High Court bifurcation.

"The Centre would not be able to roll out its schemes if the States stop paying the taxes. No additional funds have been given to the State by the Centre in the last four years. The State government received its share of funds as per the Centre-State ratio and nothing more than that. Who was responsible for including the catchment area under the Polavaram project into Andhra Pradesh?" he asked.

KTR challenged Amit Shah to retain deposits in the 119 constituencies the BJP is planning to contest. He remarked that the BJP should focus on protecting their five existing MLA seats and that the BJP leaders had failed miserably after making ambitious statements in the past.

"During the GHMC elections, BJP leaders Kishan Reddy and Dr K Laxman said they would win all the seats but they could not win a single seat. In the remaining nine months time, the BJP should focus on fulfilling its election promises," he added. The TRS leader demanded the BJP leaders to inaugurate the tribal university and the ITIR project.
