Congress Will Shut Down Yadadri Power Plant: Komati Reddy

Former minister Komati Reddy Venkatreddy made some explosive statements about Telangana caretaker chief minister KCR and several projects in the state. Speaking to media he said that the first thing Congress would do after it comes to power is to stop the construction of Yadadri thermal power plant at Veerlapalem village of Damaracharla Mandal in Nalgonda district.

He questioned the government as to why it wasn't set up in other districts and that it was a scam where the CM allotted contracts to people favorable to him and as part of that, Rs 2000 crore contract was given to the Miryalaguda MLA who was also troubling farmers for procurement of land. He also said that the thermal plant would pollute the surrounding areas endangerin people's lives.
