Wanaparthy: Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) today in a public meeting here lambasted the Congress for turning the united Mahabubnagar district into a droughts and suicides-ridden district. Adding that the Congress leaders were responsible for the migration of the locals to other States, he called for governance by the TRS party, which fought for 18 years for the formation of the State.

As part of the Praja Ashirvada Sabha, KCR addressed a gathering here. "Amid many challenges, suicides, droughts and migrations, the district is moving ahead on the path of development. While the Andhra Pradesh TDP and Congress leaders were robbing the water resources which were allotted for Mahabubnagar district, the Telangana Congress leaders are supporting them, he alleged.

Launching a scathing attack against AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, he said that if Chandrababu landed his inauspicious iron-leg in Telangana, the greenery would wither. "Chandrababu is a thief who was caught red-handed in the Cash for Vote case. While the district was being deserted by the AP leaders, former minister Chinna Reddy compromised the State's interests in return for a mere ministerial post," he recalled.

Former Congress minister DK Aruna was shamelessly allowing the AP leaders to take away the waters from the Pothireddypadu project, KCR added.
