Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Ponnam Prabhakar today said that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was living up to the words of former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who made comments over the incompetence of Telangana people in running government. KCR, who boasted about being the best in governance, dissolved the government nine months before the end of his term, he added. Speaking to media at a press conference here today, the former MP said that he had observed the fear of loss in caretaker minister KTR's face when he urged people to elect the TRS to power even by a single vote majority.

Ponnam said that rampant corruption was involved in the construction of toilets and sand mafia activities across all rivers in Siricilla constituency. "Not even in a single Village, the double bedroom houses are complete. Back when the Congress was in power, the pensions were being given away on the first of every month, while not even the government authorities are aware about the date of pension payment in TRS rule," he added.

The Congress leader stated that KTR did not have the stature to criticize senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, who was responsible for the statehood to Telangana. Adding that the Congress was on its road to victory, he asked how could a caretaker minister could promote himself by printing pictures on flexus.

"I would like to contest in Lok Sabha elections. But, I would be ready to do anything for my party. With a clean sweep in Northern Telangana, the Congress would easily win the upcoming election," Ponnam said.
