Hyderabad: Congress leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy said that if the party were to be elected to power, the government would immediately carry out a comprehensive investigation on the corrupt practices of caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and caretaker minister Harish Rao. Speaking to media here at Gandhi Bhavan today, he said that the illegally earned wealth diverted to foreign countries by the TRS leaders would be brought back to the State. He asked how Harish Rao, who had worn rubber sandals in 2001, had earned thousands of crores of money.

Pratap Reddy alleged that KCR and Harish Rao were criticizing Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, who had been instrumental in achieving Statehood to the State. "KCR asked people to pelt stones at him if he did not implement election promises. People will punish KCR with their voting power. The public should boycott the TRS leaders if they seek votes in election campaign," he said.

Official Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, Raghunandan Rao meanwhile, said that the end of Harish Rao's political career was nearing. Speaking at a press conference, he said that CM KCR was planning to contest from Harish Rao's home constituency Siddipet. He added that Harish Rao had no say in TRS party affairs and that the party was planning to field MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy in Gajwel.

The BJP leader's comments came in the context of Harish Rao's sensational comments over his wish to retire from politics. Addressing a meeting at Ibrahimpur in Siddipet constituencyrecently, Harish Rao said that he was willing to retire from politics.

Raghunandan Rao said that in the next three days, massive changes would be seen in the TRS. "Preparations are underway to replace Harish Rao with KCR from Siddipet constituency," he added.
