Actor Bandla Ganesh Meets Rahul Gandhi, Joins Congress

New Delhi: Popular actor and producer Bandla Ganesh today joined the Congress party under the presence of Congress President Rahul Gandhi here. Speaking to the media, the actor said that he had always been a Congress supporter since his childhood and that he would contribute to the party in whichever way the party needs him to. Asked why he did not join Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena party, he said that Pawan was a father figure to him. The actor is a close associate and an admirer of Pawan Kalyan and Mega star Chiranjeevi's family.

Bandla Ganesh said that it was his cherished dream of getting elected for the Assembly. However, he had left to the party's leadership the choice of constituency in which he would be fielded. Asked if he had joined the Congress party with a view to contest from Jubilee Hills constituency, he said that the decision of his joining the party was unconditional.

"I will act on the party's word. The film industry and the political arena are two different entities. I will work for the party unconditionally," he added.
