Chennur TRS Ticket Controversy Intensifies With Self-Immolation Attempt 

Mancherial: Nallala Odelu who was denied a TRS ticket from the Chennur (SC) constituency, has been vocal about his protest. Odelu has been voicing his protest over the ticket being given to Peddapalli MP, Balka Suman.

Yesterday, his resentment took a dangerous turn when his supporters stopped Balka Suman’s convoy near Indaram village urging the MP to stop mining in the region. One of Odelu’s supporters tried to immolate himself injuring close to 15 others in the process. At least three of them stated to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Balka Suman alleged that he was the target of the immolation attempt. He alleged that Odelu’s supporters had targeted him, but he had a providential escape. A news photographer and two police officials were among those who sustained by injuries. They are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad.
