Hyderabad: With the election fever picking up, the war of words between the TRS and Congress has expectedly intensified. IT minister in the caretaker Telangana government, KTR crossed swords with TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy earlier in the day, teaching him a lesson in the dignity of labour.

Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh gave the TRS and KTR another stick to beat the Congress with.

Taking to Twitter, Singh described KCR as an ungrateful man for using abusive language against Rahul Gandhi. He claimed that it was the Congress which “gave” Telangana. “Shame on you KCR. People of Telengana should punish you being so ungrateful,” (sic), his tweet read.

Not the one to take such insults lying down, KTR responded with a searingly sharp tweet. He began by asking Digvijay Singh to learn to spell Telangana correctly first. KTR went on to say that the Congress leader probably thought that the people of the state were slaves of the Delhi “Sultanath” and that Telangana was its Jaagir. The comment was a veiled dig at Singh’s own feudal background and way the Congress party functioned, not to speak of the hidden barb of dynastic rule. KTR concluded by saying that the people’s movement left the Congress party with no choice. Here’s his tweet:
