Hyderabad: Amid widespread speculation over advancement of Telangana Legislative Assembly polls, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) met MLAs from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today, a day after returning from New Delhi, where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the context of heated politics in regard to the possibility of advancement of elections to Legislative Assembly of Telangana, KCR invited the BJP MLAs over to his camp office here, by speaking to them over phone.

BJP Telangana unit President Dr K Laxman, MLA Kishan Reddy and MLA NVSS Prabhakar visited the Chief Minister earlier today. During his Delhi tour, KCR met PM Modi, Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and others, over certain issues pertaining to Telangana State, especially over the pending issues that were promised as part of the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganization Act, 2004.

As the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders make arrangements for conducting the 'Pragathi Nivedana Sabha' on September 2, the Congress party, on the other side, is chalking out poll strategies for the Assembly polls.
