Rahul Irrelevant In Telangana: BJP
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana unit President Dr K Lakshman lashed out at All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi for spreading false propaganda about Rafale deal.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, he said that even though the BJP had given a detailed explanation on the Rafale deal, the Congress leader was deliberately trying to mislead the public. Adding that the people of Telangana would not believe Rahul's words, he remarked that the Telangana Congress leaders were dreaming about coming to power after two days of Congress President Rahul Gandhi's tour in the State.
Dr Lakshman said that Rahul's speeches were immature in nature. From being in power in 11 States across the country, the Congress were reduced to ruling just one State, after Rahul Gandhi assumed leadership in the party. Before paying respects to Telangana martyrs, Rahul should apologize to the people of the State, he demanded.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) laid basless allegations on the Centre, only to cover up the State government's shortcomings, the BJP Chief said. "KCR said that the national parties failed in taking the nation forward. If it is true, could the BJP come to power in 21 States in the country?" he questioned. The BJP is ready to fight in the elections, he asserted.
