Congress Unable To Bear State Development Under TRS: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) senior leader and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today criticized the Congress party leaders for their comments over developmental activities in the State. Speaking to media here today, the TRS Minister said that power cuts were common during Congress rule. He reminded the party that the farmers had to stage protests to demand electricity at that time. "The TRS party deserves credit for providing electricity 24/7 to the farmers," he asserted.

Harish Rao said that the TRS party implemented the Rythu Bheema and the Rythu Bandhu schemes for the welfare of the farming community even though they were not part of their manifesto. He alleged that the Congress leaders were trying to interrupt employment process for the vacancies in the government.

"Does the Congress party have a policy for employment creation?" he questioned. He accused the Congress leaders of being jealous of the speedy development in the State and the State government being a role model for other States.
