Telangana lawyers petition HRC to halt Babu's yatra

Telangana Lawyers on Friday approached  the State Human Rights Commission demanding  that the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu stop his padaytra in Telangana region.

Alleging that TDP party activists had attacked Telangana lawyers who were raising 'Jai Telangana' slogans during Naidu's padayatra, the lawyers lodged a complaint before the HRC.

Taking up the petition for hearing, the SHRC directed the DGP and Warangal SP to  submit a report on the attacks before January 17.

It may be recalled here that Telangana supporters hurled stones at Naidu yesterday. Angered by this, the party workers attacked 'T' supporters. In the melee, some activists of Telangana were  injured.
