Telangana Govt To Pay Rs1000 Monthly To Helpless Single Women
Hyderabad: Single women, unable to support themselves, would be paid a monthly allowance of Rs1,000 for their livelihood in Telanganan, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced here on Friday.
He asked all the eligible women to enroll themselves for the benefit immediately.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, KCR said his government is dedicated to the welfare of people and especially the downtrodden sections and women. As part of the welfare schemes, the government decided to give the allowance to women who remained single due to various reasons including financial status.
KCR said his government is implementing welfare schemes though they were not part of the TRS manifesto. Beedi workers in the state are being given an allowance of Rs1,000 a month, he said.
