Telangana Government Adviser D. Srinivas’s Son Aravind Joins BJP 

Nizamabad: Senior TRS leader and Rajya Sabha member Dharmapuri Srinivas's son Aravind joined the BJP in the presence of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Nizamabad on Sunday.

Rajnath Singh invited Aravind into the party fold by garlanding a stole during a programme organised to commemorate Telangana Liberation Day by BJP. Former Congress president Srinivas joined TRS after the formation of state and the government made him an adviser on inter-state relations apart from making him a Rajya Sabha member.

The news was doing the rounds for the past one week that he would join the national party soon. It may be recalled that Aravind has caused a flutter among the political circles by making a statement that "the nation should stand by PM Modi".

He made this statement to a national TV channel on August 15. However, his father rubbished the news stating that Aravind would continue in TRS.
