Telangana gazette released

  Gazette notification announcing the formation of Telangana has been released by the President of India this morning.

With this, Telangana became the 29th state of India.

The act was made with about 70 pages, which can be seen in the official webpage of Ministry of Home Affairs at http://mha.nic.in/sites/upload_files/mha/files/APRegACT2014_0.pdf

The gazette was released officially on 1 March, 2014.

It may be recalled that Parliament of India approved the AP Reorganisation Bill – 2013 last month and the President of India gave his nod for that recently.

With this, only the appointed date has remained. It can be expected after three months.
