Accused SL Sivarama Raju has produced a Telugu movie to increase his network with the bigwigs in Tollywood cinema industry.

Hyderabad: Accused in Rs 400 crore-Commercial Tax scam, SL Sivarama Raju has produced a Telugu movie to increase his network with the bigwigs of Tollywood cinema industry.

The CID officials, who are investigating the case, have confirmed that Sivarama Raju, who has no idea about the film making, had created sensation by producing the movie a year ago.

Prabhakar Jain, who held the post of Commercial Taxes Assistant Commissioner, has directed the movie — 'Amma Neeku Vandanam'.

During investigation in the case, accused spilled the beans of some vital facts in the case. Sivaramaraju told the CID officials that Rs 20 crore was spent on to make the film which was utterly failed at the box office.

Since the time when the scam broke out Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been taking a serious view over of the matter. Hundreds of crores of rupees were siphoned after the commercial taxes officials and tax consultants colluded.
