Teenage girl set ablaze by spurned stalkers

Eluru: Two Stalkers who feigned love towards a teenage girl decided to avenge her spurning their advances, by setting her ablaze.

This dastardly act took place in East Godavari district on Saturday. The victim who suffered third degree burns is now battling for her life in the hospital.

Paidala Indu, (18), who belongs to Chataparru village of Eluru Mandal in East Godavari district, is a student in a private degree college in Eluru. Two youths who are called 'Chinna Vicky' and 'Pedda Vicky' had been harassing her for quite some time and making advances towards her.

When Indu turned down their proposals, the infuriated stalkers hatched a plot to take revenge on her for spurning them. They decided to implement their evil plans on Saturday. Two ‘unidentified persons’ reportedly set her ablaze to kill her and fled from the spot. The severely injured Indu was hospitalised at the local area hospital with third degree burn injuries. The victim's condition is said to be serious.

The girl's family alleged that an attempt to murder had taken place on her daughter and that the culprits were none other than Chinna Vicky and Pedda Vicky who had been harassing her for some time now. So far, no action has been taken against the alleged culprits.
