TDP not to field candidate in Allagadda bypoll

Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy on Monday announced that the Telugu Desam Party will not filed its candidates in the by poll for the Allagadda assembly.

Addressing a press conference, the deputy CM announced that his party had taken the decision by respecting the practice of not fielding candidates in case of the demise of the incumbent MLA.
The election was necessitated following the death of YSR Congress Party leader Bhuma Shoba Nagireddy in an accident.
It may be recalled that YSRCP has not fielded its candidate in the by-election in Nandigama Assembly constituency due to the death of TDP's MLA-elect T Prabhakar Rao. The TDP reciprocated the gesture in keeping with the "tradition".
Bhuma Akhila Priya has filed her nomination as the YSRCP for the Allagadda Assembly seat.  The bye election will be conducted here on November 8 and the result will be declared on November 12. The nomination papers are accepted from October 14-21. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is October 24.
