TDP MLA Sits On Dharna After Cops Stop Him To Allow CM’s Convoy

Ruling party MLA and senior TDP leader Gowthu Syamsundar Sivaji resorted to dharna on the Krishna river bund when the police stopped him from going to Assembly saying that since CM was travelling on the river bund road, he cannot go.

The senior TDP MLA, who expressed his ire at the traffic restrictions, sat on dharna for over one hour and relented only after the police officials cajoled him to take to the Undavalli route to reach the assembly.

Shivaji slammed the cops and said that if an MLA like he was stopped, he can very well imagine the troubles that common people are put. He said he would take the issue to the notice of the privilege committee of the assemlby.

This is not the first time that Sivaji has to face such insults. Earlier too, he was not allowed to reach the helipad to welcome the chief minister, who was to tour Srikakulam.
