TDP MLA claims Mudragada will call off fast on Monday

TDP Kapu MLA Thota Trimurthulu expressed the hope that Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabham could call off his fast on Monday afternoon. 

Trimurthulu, who along with TDP MLC Boddu Bhaskar Rama Rao, met Mudragada on Sunday night and held parlays with him. On Monday, TDP working president for Andhra Pradesh Kala Venkat Rao and minister Acham Naidu are likely to hold parleys with the Kapu leader.
Mudragada Padmanabham has been on a fast at his residence in Kirlampudi of East Godavari district demanding BC status to the Kapu community, a promise given by TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu at the time of elections. A large number of Kapus are holding solidarity fasts and are organising sit-ins in support of Mudragada's demand.
Mudragada's fast entered Day 4 on Monday. On Monday too, he refused to undergo medical tests and turned away the doctors who came to perform medical examination.
Meanwhile, leaders from YSRCP and the Congress are reaching Kirlampudi on Monday to express their solidarity with the fast.
