TDP Leaders Involved in Rs1,800-cr Scam in Krishna Pushkaralu: YSRCP 

Hyderabad: Accusing the TDP of resorting to widespread corruption during the Krishna Pushkaralu, the Opposition YSRCP said the fund embezzlement was of the order of Rs 1800 crore.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that the Pushkaram works were allocated to TDP henchmen and acolytes on nomination basis. He said this has caused massive scam. He also slammed the TDP for demolishing historic and ancient temples in the city “ Ambati further criticized the way the Government publicised the event and said Naidu gave an impression as if Pushkarams were happening only in Vijayawada and that they were happening only because of Chandrababu.

Naidu had also tested patience of people by speaking for hours about his governance. AP Police and TDP activists closed the gates to prevent people from leaving the venue. Many people waited for hours before taking a holy dip in Krishna river, he said.

He further criticized that “Naidu is hand in glove with the sand mafia. He encouraged and supported illegal sand mining and transportation. Naidu is the main culprit in damaging the ecological balance in Krishna basin. Yet, he unabashedly gloating over Pushkaram success.
