Reiterating that Chandrababu Naidu has been pursuing his agenda of commercialisation in the name of capital area formation, the YSR Congress Party has said that Chandrababu Naidu has been cheating the people in the name capital city and demanded a White Paper on the entire project.

Speaking to media on Friday, party MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said that till now stones were laid for capital city for a record seven times and Chandrababu Naidu has been pursuing his real estate agenda strongly without caring for the sentiments of the people.

He said that Chandrababu Naidu would go down in the history of the state as the chief minister who had laid foundation stone for capital city on multiple occasions. Initially it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and others and yet nothing has moved ahead so far. Water from all the sacred rivers and sand from across the country was brought as a token of invoking the national spirit, but still nothing concrete has happened as the project has been running on commercial lines. He said the so called capital was not people's capital.'

"Even former chief secretary IVR Krishna Rao had endorsed our view that the capital city is coming up for the benefit of the ruling class and not for the people. Sivarama Krishanan Committee too rejected this area, he pointed out. Chief Minister has been shunting upright officers out and appointing people who toe his line, RK pointed out.
