TDP buying FB 'likes'?

Scams in Telegu Desam party has been a common occurrence, and the same has been highlighted by other parties many a time.  But now the party has even resorted to scams online as well. According to an international organisation, that regularly releases statistics of social networking sites, TDP has bought many of the 'likes' for its Facebook page.

In other words, it has faked its fans on its FB page. In a bid to improve its popularity on the social networking site, TDP showed a sudden increase of 75,000 likes in a matter of few hours.  The increase occurred in the wee hours of April 4. TDP's FB page likes now stand at 441620.

Interestingly, those likes came from countries that barely have any Telugu population, like Turkey. According to social media analysts, Turkey is the country from where FB 'likes' can be purchased.

According to Socialbakers, the party recorded highest number of likes from Turkey, after India and US, which has a sizeable Telugu population.  Interestingly, TDP is the only party that has fan base in Turkey.
