Task force likely to submit report on bifurcation to GoM

International Children’s film festival, hosted by Andhra Pradesh government, is said to be the reason for the cancellation of the CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s scheduled meeting with Group of Ministers (GoM), set up to look into the State bifurcation.

Confirming this with the media persons in New Delhi on Thursday, union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said the CM’s meet with GoM is rescheduled to November 18. He was assertive about the introducing of Telangana bill in the forthcoming winter session of Parliament.
The eleventh hour cancellation of the visit of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Kiran Kumar Reddy to New Delhi set rumour mills working overtime with one report that his replacement would be imminent.
Meanwhile, the GoM met the secretaries of law, finance, railways and other departments for consultations to discuss issues relating to bifurcation in the evening session on Thursday.
It was also learnt that the task force headed by security advisor to central home ministry K Vijaya Kumar, also attended the meeting. He is likely to submit the status reports, since he thoroughly studied security related issues by his intense meetings with police officials in Hyderabad during his visit.
