T ACB takes Vem Narender Reddy into custody

In a major development, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths took TDP leader Vem Narender Reddy into their custody and took him to the SIT office.

Vem Narender Reddy was the MLC contestant from the TDP. It was to ensure a victory for him that cash for vote scam was planned. Effort to buy the vote of TRS nominated MLA Stephenson was part of the plan. The interrogation of Vem Narender Reddy began at 11 AM and continued till 4 PM. Later he was taken into custody. His lawyers however said that his arrest was not yet confirmed and added that they would take appropriate steps.

The ACB sleuths served a notice on TDP candidate in the recent MLC elections Vem Narender Reddy on Tuesday night. Vem Narendar Reddy expressed his inability to attend in the night as he was suffering from cardiology-related issues. He, however, said he would come to the ACB office on Wednesday morning.
