Swarna Bar is not mine: Ex-MLA

Congress leader and former MLA Malladi Vishnu said the Swarna Bar, where spurious liquor claimed seven lives, did not belong to him. He, however, admitted that the bar belonged to his relatives.

He said he suspects that someone contaminated the water cooler as only those who mixed the water from the water cooler in their liquor fell ill. He demanded an impartial inquiry into the tragedy.
As many as seven people died and 15 persons fell sick after consuming spurious liquor in Vijayawada's Swarna Bar in the morning. The condition of five persons is stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra said the bar has already been seized and a probe is on to trace the origin of the liquor. He said post the inquiry, action would be taken against those responsible for the deaths.
