Mantralayam Swamiji Suyateendra Teerdhulu no more

Suyateendra Teerdhulu, 39th pontiff of Sri Raghavendra Swami Matham at Mantralayam in Kurnoor district, died on Thursday night. He was 81. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

With the news of the death, entire Mantralyam feel in deep sorrow. Born in Gadag district in Karnataka state, his original name is Susheelendra Char. He completed his B.Sc, B.Ed before taking sanyasam. He worked as a teacher at Bharateeya Sanskrit Vidyapeetham in Bangalore for about 30 years.  

During his tenure at Mantralayam, several development works were undertaken by him. With the help of his disciples, he would collect huge donations. He developed Mantralayam in several ways.

Susheelendra Char was initially appointed as Uttaradhikari in 2006. In 2009, he was appointed as Peetadipathi of the matham. 

He was suffering from kidney related ailments and diabetes for that last two months. He was on the ventilator for the last 15 days.
