Students’ Picnic Bus Falls Off Bridge Into Rivulet, 15 Injured, 1 Critical
Ongole: Yet another bus accident caused by a sleepy driver left 15 students seriously injured at Peda Alavapadu in PC Pally mandal in Prakasham district in the wee hours on Thursday. The bus fell into the rivulet about 40 feet deep. One of the injured students is stated to be critical.
The bus with 75 students on board was going from Ulavapadu back to Karedu after completing a picnic trip. The students of Karedu Zilla Parishad school went on a picnic on Tuesday in a bus belonging to SVLT Travels.
The driver of the bus was in a drowsy state and could not control the steering in the turning, just like it happened in the case of Diwakar Travels bus accident in Krishna district in which 10 passengers died and over a dozen injured on Tuesday.
The injured students are being treated at a hospital. The in-charge of YSRCP, Kanigiri constituency, Burra Madhusudan Yadav visited the accident spot and arranged transport to the students to their village.
