Students Demand Withdrawal Of Sexual Abuse Case Against Principal 

Mahbubabad: Students of Government Model School in Nereda of Kuravi mandal in the district on Monday staged a dharna demanding the withdrawal of a sexual abuse case filed against the principal on the complaint of on intermediate student.

The principal Nageshwara Rao has been remanded to judicial custody after the intermediate first year student approached the district collector complaining that he was misbehaving with her for some time. She also alleged that the principal was sexually harassing her. The collector had initiated legal action and the principal was sent to remand last week.

However, the entire student community of the school condemned the charges against the principal. "He has always been a father figure to us and never misbehaved with any student," students said.

Students locked the gates of the school stating that they won't allow anyone inside until the collector issues orders for the withdrawal of the case against the principal.
