Students Allege Financial Irregularities At Telangana Study Circle

Hyderabad: The alleged scam of Telangana State Scheduled Castes Study Circle is getting murkier with students staging hunger strike alleging the institute of swindling Rs 13.5 crores. The Telangana Study Circle gives coaching to meritorious students who are aspiring for civil services from SC, ST background.

According to reports, over the past three years no auditing was taken up leading to the irregularities in the institution. The student claim that only meagre Rs 3.5 crores has been spent out of the budgeted Rs 18 crores. A students have filed two RTIs separately and the results was not the same which affirmed their doubts. The students now have demanded the minister Jagdish Reddy and principal secretary Ajay Mishra to conduct a detailed probe on the entire issue and proper action to be initiated against the culprits.

Meanwhile, TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy has called for CID probe and demanding stern action against the people who are involved in this. As a step to cleanse all the acquisitions, the government has appointed Dr Praveen Kumar as the director of the Study Circle.
