Hyderabad: Over 200 students of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET), Banjara Hills on Wednesday took to streets demanding construction of a foot-over-bridge in front of the college as it is increasingly becoming difficult for them to cross the busy road.
Students held the protest carrying placards with slogans ‘we want foot-over-bridge’ and brought the traffic movement to a halt for nearly an hour.
It may be recalled that previously MJCET students took a campaign and gathered over 1,500 signatures appealing the state government to construct foot-over-bridge
They rued that stretch from Nagarjuna Circle leading to KBR National Park is unsafe for the pedestrians any many have missed death by a whisker.
One of the students said that government should construct foot-over-bridge as it’s an accident prone, adding that, “The girl who met with an accident is still not able to walk.”
