Student Suffers Fracture As Teacher Hits Him With Stick 

Hyderabad: Sri Teja, a class 6 student, got injured after being hit with a stick by his teacher. The teacher hit Teja with a stick on his right hand, making his hand swollen and resulting in a fracture.

Teja is a student of Lotus Lap Public School near Sai Baba temple, Dilsukhnagar. The boy’s father Avinash, who works as an RTC conductor filed a complaint with Saroornagar police on Wednesday.

"I took the matter to the notice of the school management but they didn't take the issue seriously, so I had to approach the police," said Avinash.

The school principal Geetha said that the teacher’s intention was not hurt the boy. She wanted to him lightly while reprimanding but the boy suddenly turned his hand and the stick got hit him in elbow.

"The teacher has no history of indulging in corporal punishment. It was not intentional. After the incident, she felt bad and apologized too. She punished Teja when he pushed a boy down and the latter complained to her so that the fight does not escalate," said the principal.
