Student gets caught by invigilator, commits suicide

A student committed suicide after being caught by an invigilator allegedly while copying.

Manikanta, final year B.Sc. student at a college in Vijayawada, was checked by an invigilator during an exam. 

According to reports, classmates of the deceased have complained that the invigilator had tortured the student mentally. However, the college said that the student was copying and that is why the invigilator intervened.  

Students are demanding the immediate suspension of the invigilator. They are also asking the college authorities to help the family members of the student financially.
 
“Our child is not a sensitive person. He must have been pushed to take up this extreme step," said the parents of the student.
