Ditchpally (Nizamabad): Police were shocked to find stolen furniture items of Christian Medical College (CMC) almost in every household when they conducted a cordon search in Oddera Colony, Devnagar Lepracy Camp under the limits of Amuthapur Grampanchayat of Ditchpally Mandal.

Police seized the entire furniture including cots, beds, tables, refrigerators, cupboards, ceiling fans and stools of the hospital from the locals and warned them of filing criminal cases against them if the theft is repeated in future. Ditchpally CI Tirupati, SI Katta Narendar Reddy, Sridhar Reddy, Murali and Probationary SI Naveen Kumar, ASI Gangaram with other personnel participated in the cordon search in the supervision of Anand Kumar, Nizamabad DSP.

Police said they shocked to find the furniture of the CMC which were looted from the hospital. They said the locals stole even the doors of the rooms of the medical hospital. Apart from this, police also seized an auto and a two wheeler without documents in the area during the cordon search conducted from 4:00 am to 10:00am on Tuesday. They collected all the furniture and preserved in a building which is on the premises of Victoria Hospital here.

DSP Anand Kumar said the cordon search was conducted to avoid any antisocial elements and also warned the locals of registering criminal cases if such criminal acts come to their notice in future, adding, they would conduct the search operation once again in near future.
