State CPM plans stir to highlight people’s problems

The CPM regional conclave being planned to be held at the temple town of Tirupathi on October 8 is likely to focus on problems like power crisis, abnormal hike in the prices of essential commodities besides the recent increase in the prices of petroleum products and the LPG cylinder cap for domestic consumers.

The state party executive, which meeting here later today is expected to chalk out a detailed agitational programme, CPM state committee secretary B V Raghavulu said here. Hundreds of small and medium units are closed due to the acute power crisis in the State and many are facing closure theat. If urgent measures are not initiated to resolve the problem industrial growth in the State would be seriously hampered, he added.

The state executive of the party would discuss in detail the problems confronting the common man and would also chalk out the agitational programme to be taken up in a phased manner to force the ruling party into taking immediate steps to solve them, he explained.
