Stalked girl ends life in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old degree student, who was reportedly being stalked by a youth, allegedly committed suicide in Nalgonda district on Monday.

The girl consumed pesticide on January 2 and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital on Monday in Suryapet town of the district, DSP Suryapet (Sub-Division) Abdul Rashid said.
The relatives of the girl, in a complaint lodged with the police, alleged that one Srinivas was stalking her, which made her take this extreme step, the senior police officer said.
A suicide case has been registered against Srinivas and a hunt has been launched to nab the absconding accused.
