Staff Forced To Tear Currency Notes Over Poor Performance

China: A video showing five persons tearing up a currency note in Jinan in China has gone viral. The video shows the employees being forced to tear the currency note of 100 yuan by their manager for under performance.

The manager is not seen in the video but is heard yelling at employees to tear the note else they would lose their job. The staff work at Gome electrical appliance store were punished for not meeting their daily sales quota. However, the local police which got the wind of the incident issued a fine of 1,000 yuaa to the manager.

As per reports, destruction of yuan done deliberately carries a fine of 10,000 yuan.
