Spot-fixing: hunt on for casting director

The Telugu Film Producers' Council (TFPC) has ruled out links with the controversial spot-fixing in IPL matches.

It may be recalled that there were reports that the photos of some Telugu heroines and models were sent to Sreesanth's email id. A casting director is believed to be involved in the process.

Clarifying that Telugu producers have no links to fixing, the TFPCF called for a media conference on Tuesday. Film chamber president Tammareddy Bharadwaja made it clear that the allegations that Sreesanth has links with Telugu producer were not true. There is no casting director in the Telugu industry, he added.

A casting director is believed to have sent those photos to Sreesanth. Mumbai police reportedly sought the help of Hyderabad police to trace the casting person. His name has not yet been revealed.

Tammareddy  told the media that if any producer was involved in the IPL match fixing, he would face serious punishment.
