The first 6 matches have turned out to be identical to their 1992 performance in a similar format. Pakistan lost their first match to the West Indies on both the occasions. They won their second match in both tournaments and then again, their third match in 1992 and in the ongoing 2019 World Cup got washed out. In both editions they lost their fourth and fifth matches and won the sixth. In the sixth match of the 1992 World Cup Pakistan defeated Australia by 48 runs and Aamir Sohail was the Man of the Match. Cut to 2019. Haris Sohail proved to be the Man of the Match in their 2019 face-off against South Africa, their sixth match.
