Speeding Private Van With KV School Kids Overturns, 3 Hurt  

Three Kendriya Vidyalaya students suffered minor injuries on Tuesday when a speeding private van they were travelling in lost control and overturned in west Delhi, police said.

The accident occurred in Mangolpuri area when the van was ferrying 16 students to Kendriya Vidyalaya in Rohini's Sector 3.

Driver Prakash, 21, was handed over to police by eyewitnesses, a senior police officer said. He has been booked for rash and negiligent driving and later bailed out by police.

"The driver lost control over the van at a turn in Mangolpuri. As it overturned, locals rushed to the spot on hearing cries of students for help and pulled them out. The three injured students were taken to nearby hospital and discharged after first-aid," he said.
