Speeding bus plunges into Godavari near Bhadrachalam

A speeding RTC bus lost control and fell into the Godavari river near Bhadrachalam on Thursday morning.

As many as two persons died and 30 persons were injured.

The bust was on its way to Bhadrachalam from Khammam and was about to climb the bridge on the river. While negotiating the steep, the driver lost control and the bus plunged into the river. There were some 40 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.

Both the dead are women. The locals rescued the passengers and shifted them to Bhadrachalam area hospital.
