New Delhi: YSRCP on Thursday continued its agitation in Lok Sabha demanding Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh (AP). While displaying placards, YSRCP MPs raised slogans in support of Special Status for AP.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan advised MPs to speak during the zero hour even as the Telugu MPs raised their voice demanding special status standing near the podium.

Speaking in the house, YV Subba Reddy, YSRCP MP, said: “It’s already 26 months since the bifurcation of AP, but nothing has been done on the assurance given in AP Reorganization Act promising special status for AP. We demand the NDA government to address the issue. We have waited far too long for special status.”

However, the NDA government didn’t answer the questions raised by YSRCP MPs in the house. MPs staged a walkout as mark of protest against the silence of the NDA government.
