SP Exclusive: Shirdi-Hyd volvo bus attacked, passengers safe

An alert driver and cleaner of an AP tourism volvo bus averted attempt of some masked miscreants to rob passengers near Maharashtra border.

According to reports, the bus was traveling from Shirdi to Hyderabad when attackers struck. As many as 40 miscreants attacked the bus with stones and weapons. They forced open the door of the bus. Several passengers were injured in the incident, but no casualty was reported. The attacked Volvo bus bears the number AP 23 Y 2156. Eye witnesses say that the driver and cleaner tried their best to drive away the attackers.

Although anxious passengers lodged a complaint with the police, the police neither took them seriously nor came to their rescue. Further details are awaited.
